Wall stickers have stood the test of time. People across generations have put up stickers of their favourite films, celebrities, and cartoons on the walls of their houses. However, removing nasty stickers has been a problem that generations have faced as well!
One of the biggest concerns while removing stickers from walls is of damaging the paint. Using solvents and chemicals like alcohol and nail polish remover can damage the paint on the wall and spoil the look of the room. It is, therefore, always advisable to choose the right liquid or solution for removing stickers from the wall.
One of the most common ways of removing wall stickers has always been using soap and water. In most cases, this would not damage the paint on your wall, while it is advisable to check the kind of paint your wall contains. However, soap is not the most powerful substance you can use for removing stickers from your wall. You may need to wall the sticker and its residue multiple times before they are completely removed. This may end up damaging your wall.
Instead, you can remove the stickers on your wall along with their residue with the help of the WD-40 Multi Use Product. The potent liquid loosens the nasty grip of stickers without damaging the paint on your wall. Without creating any mess, WD-40 provides you with a clean and smooth wall within a few minutes.
Here are the simple steps you need to follow for removing stickers from the wall without damaging the paint on it:
First of all, you will need a can of WD-40 Multi Use Product for getting started. You can find one in a hardware store or a supermarket near you. You can also order a can online and keep it handy in case you need it for an emergency. Staying true to its name, the WD-40 Multi Use Product can be used for a range of household purposes and DIY solutions.
Once you have the can of WD-40 Multi Use Product, all you need to do is spray the liquid on the sticker you want to remove. Depending on the way you find it more convenient, you can either spray the liquid on the entire sticker or simply on the corners to make it easy to peel. If the sticker is big in size and not too nasty, you can simply loosen the grip of the corners and peel it off. In the case of smaller stickers that make a lot of mess while being removed, it is advisable to spray WD-40 on the entire stickers.
Do not rush to remove the sticker from the wall right after spraying the WD-40 Multi Use Product. Let the liquid rest while it works its magic on the sticker for 5 to 7 minutes. During this time, the liquid would loosen the bonds between the sticker and the wall, making it easy for you to remove it.
After the liquid has rested for some time, you can take a soft sponge or a napkin to gently scrub the sticker away. You can also peel it slowly using your hands once the ends of the stickers are loose enough. You will be surprised by the ease with which you will be able to remove the sticker from your wall without hampering its paint. Although this is rarely the case, you can repeat the process if you sprayed an insufficient amount of liquid on the sticker or if the sticker is too notorious to come off in one go. In not more than a few minutes, you will have a wall without any unwanted sticker residue.
