There are a number of things that can cause scratches on Motorcycle paint. There are many causes of a scratch or two on a fantastic paint job, such as poor parking, vandalism, and car accidents. It is possible from time to time for these scratches to spoil the overall appearance of your ride, but you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on professional touch-ups or worry about how to remove scratches from paint. You can get the paint job of your house looking as good as brand-new with these simple tips!
Check the scratch with your fingernail to see if it is deep. Unless your fingernail is caught on the scratch, the damage is only superficial. If the scratches are deep, you will need professional scratch removal products like WD-40. Go to step 5 directly if that is the case.
Make sure your Motorcycle’s surface is clean before you begin the process. It will simply make things worse if you rub debris and dirt over the affected area. You can either clean your bike on your own or send it out for a professional wash.
Once your motorbike has been cleaned, you can dampen any microfiber towel with about a quarter size of toothpaste. In our testing, whitening toothpastes performed the best. Start sweeping over the surface of your motorbike with your microfiber cloth using circular motions. You should keep doing this until the toothpaste is distributed evenly on the surface and then rinse any excess residue off.
Then you should repeat the process a second time and spray your bike with a hose and dry it with a microfiber towel. You might be surprised to discover that your bike is free of scratches! Unless it was a deep scratch then you need to look at the next step.
You don’t have to go to the repair shop to have scratches buffed out if the toothpaste strategy fails. You can try another trick instead. A miracle all-in-one product is the answer if you are dealing with a heavy scratch. Simply spray some WD-40 on the affected area and let it sit for a few seconds.
The next step is to rub your car with a piece of cloth, and we suggest using microfiber here as well. If you repeat the process as many times as you wish, you should end up with a paint job that looks brand new!
