Toys are closer to children’s hearts more than anything in the world! Children are passionate about their toys and would always keep them close no matter what. Looking at such love and affection, it definitely breaks one’s heart to see a kid get their favorite toy damaged.
If your children have a knack for playing with bicycles, tricycles, and other wheeled toys, this is for you! You can use WD40 to make your kids smile, by giving them the gift of a new toy, of course, without having to buy one. The uses of WD-40 are not limited to cars and motorcycles. The liquid increases the life of your children’s favorite wheeled toys.
Here are some of the simple steps you can take to maintain the toys of your kids:
Start by gathering all the cleaning equipment you need to work on your kids’ favorite tricycle or the concerned wheeled toys. The most important tool you need here is a bucket of water or a water hose (if you have access to one). Gather all the ingredient together.
Once you have gathered all the equipment, go ahead with washing the toy. For this step, use clean water. You can rest assured that your kids would have a lot of fun if you include them in this activity.
Yes, while it may seem like extra effort, it is always advised to wash the toy twice. This should be done once with clean water and then with soapy water.
Rinse and wipe the surface of the wheeled toy and scrub the frame (in the case of a tricycle) with a sponge. Once you are done washing it, clean the surface with a dry cloth and leave the toy to dry for some time.
Spray a decent amount of WD-40 liquid on the interior of the tricycle to clean it from impurities. Let it sit for some time and scrub the rusty areas with the help of a toothbrush. Wipe the areas with a dry cloth to clean them further. Let the tricycle air dry for some time and you are done!
You need not wash the toy again after spraying WD-40 as the liquid will keep the toy lubricated and clean.
