If you are a fan of cooking and love experimenting with delicacies, you will need to deal with its flip side as well. While a non-stick tawa allows you to cook your favourite dishes without the items sticking to the surface, it is common for it to accumulate oil and grease over time. People often tend to ignore cleaning the tawa and simply run some water down the surface in the name of maintenance.
If you want your non-stick tawa to retain its functionality for a long time, it is important to clean it thoroughly on a regular basis. Once the cooking is done, the oil and grease on the tawa are always hard to be removed completely. Simply rinsing the tawa with water will not resolve your problem. If you let this grease and other impurities accumulate over time, it may cause irreversible damage to the tool in the long term.
In most cases, people prefer using vinegar or baking soda for cleaning non-stick tawa. Their either pour some vinegar on the surface or create a paste of baking soda and water, followed by rubbing the same on the tawa. The non-stick tawa is then cleaned using a nylon scrubber to get rid of oil and grease. Although these are effective ways of cleaning a tawa, you may have to repeat them until it is completely clean. Moreover, these household ingredients may not be too effective if you are dealing with impurities that have been accumulating on your tawa for a long time.
If you are willing to clean your non-stick tawa within a few minutes and make it look as good as new, you can do so with the help of the WD-40 Multi Use Product. A few sprays of the liquid would help you get rid of all the unwanted oil, grease, and other impurities on the tawa.
Here are the steps you can follow for cleaning your tawa using WD-40:
Before anything else, you will need to grab yourself a can of WD-40 Multi Use Product from a supermarket or hardware store near you. It is always better to keep a can handy at home to tackle household emergencies.
Now that you have the can with you, spray the liquid gently on the surface of your non-stick tawa. You can either spray it directly on it or apply it on a cotton cloth and rub your tawa with the same. Either way, it is important that you cover the entire surface of your non-stick tawa with the liquid. However, make sure you do not go overboard while spraying WD-40 as the excessive liquid will only lead to more spillage and wastage.
Once you have sprayed WD-40 on your non-stick tawa, you will need to wait for some time as the liquid shows its magic. During this time, WD-40 penetrates between the impurities on your tawa and breaks the bonds between them, making it easier for you to clean it.
After all the waiting is done, you will need to get a nylon scrubber or a cleaning rag and wipe the surface of your non-stick tawa. You will see how easily all the grease and other impurities will come off the surface after encountering WD-40. After wiping it off, you will get the right amount of friction on the clean surface which was earlier dominated with grease and oil remnants.
Before you start using your non-stick tawa for cooking your favourite delicacies again, give it a final wash using soap and water. This will help you wash all the unwanted chemicals and make your tawa as good as a new one.
