It’s fun and sometimes necessary to drive your swanky vehicle around. Whether you’re on a road trip, at the market, or just visiting, your vehicle is always there for you. It is only fair that your vehicle or bike gets the right aftercare after all this work.
Every now and then you wipe them down, but do you really take proper care of them? Unfortunately, if not, they won’t last very long. A vehicle’s worst enemy is grease, dust, and grime, especially around the tires. Over time, the buildup destroys the tires, the rims, and the nuts.
There is no need to purchase tons of chemicals or attend expensive cleaning sessions. There are some items you’ll find lying around that you can use to remove grease or grime.
It is well known that baking soda and vinegar can be used to clean. It dissolves grime that has been caked in or settled in spaces.
Make a paste by mixing equal parts baking soda and vinegar. Apply it to your tires and let it dry. Use your scrubber to remove the residue. Use a Q-tip to reach those small crevices and spaces. Dirt will most likely have been removed; wipe clean.
Despite the fact that you scrub and wipe your tires and rims, there is no guarantee that they will appear shiny and clean. Here is a little DIY that will be helpful. Take some oil and dip it in a rag. Rubbing the tires and rims will restore some of the shine.
While all of the above is easy to do, it does not guarantee a complete clean-up. In addition, the extra step for shininess can add to the workload. Use WD-40 to solve all your problems. WD-40 can be sprayed on tires, rims, and nuts. Clean hard-to-reach corners with a q-tip and wipe clean. Both dullness and cleaning will be accomplished.
