A Step by Step Guide For Cleaning Your Car

Every so often you’re going to have to give your car a wash. it’s important when doing so to remove dirt and grime, beyond making your car look great, it stops your car from corroding quicker. You can use a car wash if you need to save time but here is our step by step guide to cleaning your car.

Preparing to wash the car

Don’t park your car in direct sunlight as premature drying can leave marks on the paint and as your car gets hotter it evaporates the water faster than you would want it to. Check that you have closed all the windows and doors properly to make sure water will not get inside the car. Pull the windshield wipers up away from the glass. Finally, wear suitable clothing as you will likely get wet and soapy.

Organize everything you need

You will need a hose, bucket, sponge, brush, wash mitts, towel, and cleaning detergents. Plenty of water is needed for the car wash, this will vary depending on the size of the vehicle and the condition it is in. You will also want 2 or 3 wash mitts and a brush suitable to scrub your tires. Microfiber cloths or towels are useful to dry your car. You can purchase car wash detergent from local stores and follow the manufacturer’s recommendation when mixing with water.

Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendation for the pre-wash as you will need to leave it on for a few minutes then rinse off.
